first_imgThe Liberia Music Awards has announced its follow-up music award presentation for laureates who were unfortunate to attend it first and second editions of the LMA in the United States of America due to technical and logistical reasons.LMA Foundation country representative, Joseph Junior Teah said in a statement, “we cannot have artists who won awards not having their prizes on hand and this is the reason we are hosting the program [here in Liberia] to give them what they have worked for.”He added, during this follow-up musical awards presentation program, artists will be making some special remarks with regard to the enhancement of Liberian music, the improvement of many Liberian artists andthe state of the arts in Liberia.He also said 30 awards will be given that night to artists and this is to prove that LMA Foundation cares about the growth of the entertainment industry.“Hosting this awards night with our artists clearly demonstrates that in all that we are doing, the interest of our musicians comes first,” he said.According to him, Takun J, Scientific, K-Zee and Eric Geso are among artists who will walk away with more than one award.The LMA Follow-up awards’ presentation is slated to take place on December 5, 2015, at the Paynesville City Hall from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Ordinary tickets are priced at $5.00 plus a bottle of Club Beer, while VIP tickets are sold for $15.00 plus a bottle of Club Beer. Arsenal star wins Player of the Year award

first_imgArsenal’s Alexis Sanchez has been named Player of the Year by the Football Supporters’ Federation.The 26-year-old forward scored 20 goals in 2015, including a superb long-range effort in the FA Cup final win over Aston Villa.Sanchez topped the fans’ vote ahead of runner-up Jamie Vardy, with Sergio Aguero, David De Gea, Harry Kane and John Stones also on the shortlist.The Chilean said: “I’m delighted to receive the FSF Player of the Year award. Personally, it’s been a great 2015 for me on the pitch with both my club and country.“Arsenal have enjoyed a good start to the season and it was disappointing to pick up an injury. But I’m hoping to be back soon to help my team-mates have another successful year.”Gunners manager Arsene Wenger added: “Alexis has had a great 2015 – winning the FA Cup with us and the Copa America with Chile.“He has made a huge impact on English football since his arrival at the Emirates and I’m very happy that his skill, ability and dedication has been recognised by football fans across the country.”The presentation of the FSF Awards, in association with William Hill, takes place in London on Monday night.
