ICC raps BCCI on WC ticket sale

first_imgAmid reports about mess surrounding the tickets for World Cup matches, the ICC has shot off a terse letter to Sharad Pawar, demanding that the distribution and sale of tickets be managed better. Pawar is the head of the World Cup organising committee. The letter, written by David Becker, Legal Head, ICC, says, “The success of the cricket World Cup depends, to a large extent, on the orderly and efficient production and distribution of tickets. ICC is being seriously challenged and is therefore bitterly disappointed by the state of affairs, which threatens to undermine everything that all of us have worked so hard to achieve over recent months.”Taking note of the mad scramble for tickets, the Delhi High Court has also asked the DDCA not to distribute more than 10,000 complimentary passes.last_img
