Chelsea manager not bothered by higher expectations

first_imgChelsea manager Frank Lampard is not bothered by higher expectations at the club this season. The Blues boss knows that he cannot be content with a top-four finish. Given the club’s huge spending spree this summer, fans, the board and owner Roman Abramovich will be expecting a title challenge and trophies. And Lampard is not bothered by those aspirations. “No matter what goes on at the club, there will always be pressures,” Lampard told reporters during a virtual press conference.Advertisement “I thrive off those pressures and I enjoy them. I understand the different nature of pressure coming this year. It is why I love doing it. “I didn’t come into this job to fight for fourth place, although I know last year that it was an achievement and one of the goals that we set out to. I didn’t come in just to bring academy players into the first-team and say I made debuts for this many players; I came here to win. read also:Lampard hands Willian’s No.10 jersey to Chelsea star “Any club at our level has to try and tick the major boxes and recruitment is a huge part of that. Last year we weren’t able to recruit in a big way. I wasn’t able to bring in players I felt might be helpful for the way I wanted to go and the style I wanted to play. “This year, I have been able to have some impact on that. But the club has, more importantly, being able to make decisions to bring in players. It changes the landscape, yes, but I am excited by that as much as feeling the pressure. I am ready to go and work.” FacebookTwitterWhatsAppEmail分享 Loading… center_img Promoted Content10 Risky Jobs Some Women DoThe Models Of Paintings Whom The Artists Were Madly In Love WithWho Is The Most Powerful Woman On Earth?Couples Who Celebrated Their Union In A Unique, Unforgettable Way9 Facts You Should Know Before Getting A Tattoo7 Universities Where Getting An Education Costs A Hefty PennyBirds Enjoy Living In A Gallery Space Created For ThemTop 10 Most Romantic Nations In The World8 Superfoods For Growing Hair Back And Stimulating Its GrowthWhich Country Is The Most Romantic In The World? You’ve Only Seen Such Colorful Hairdos In A Handful Of Anime7 Ways To Understand Your Girlfriend Betterlast_img read more
